Beehive basket

For this handmade basket, I was inspired by the shape of vintage straw beehive.

I used a combination of materials to make this unique creation.

This basket is made with:
– vintage linen and cotton I found in Normandy (France)
– Poplin fabric from Japan and some leftover fabrics from sewing projects
– other vintage fabrics I found in charity shops

I dyed the material with fruits (blackberries), flowers (hibiscus), plants from my garden and local forest.

This basket is made with 2 parts with a bigger lid. The total size is 24cm high with a diameter of 30cm.
