Dinah Nicholson Fairies at the Selvedge fair.

These are the dolls Dinah got when she was a little girl; they were made by her grandmother. They are exquisite. The fabric is perfect, old and dirty with little holes, their faces are gorgeous… I stopped at her stall at the Selvedge fair to hold them and contemplate the way they were made. Dinah explained that they were the reason why she started to make fairies, to escape her life and in remembrance of her loved ones…

I love the Scout mag videos showing Artisans and Designers whose workmanships and aesthetics is the new way to create.
